I guess the main thing is that although it is supposedly seasoned you need to a bit more to get it in prime condition

The carbon will leachout from repeated use so long as you dont scrub it which makes it more nonstick

Its sandmolded and not polished to quickly season at the factory which means that its got a slightly rough texture rather than a fine smooth cooking surface
