I thought that the housing on the ends of this cable would be metal but it is plastic

Hard to tell by looking at the housing but i screwed mine off because one was loose and once off i could tell it was plastic

Only problem with them is that the thinness of the female end the jack housing leaves no room for any spring action and its a bit hard to insert the plug into the jack
