The adidas protectors where thicker than most

There is a heavy duty elastic band same size as the velcro bands attached directly not shown in picture on the back side of the protector that holds the sleeve in place and actually helps the sleeve from rotating when moving your arms

Good protective pads unfortunately the inside is fabric which holds sweat and does not dry fast
