Pros

The rain fly is attached at each corner of the tent with snap-in clips and can be adjusted by tighening/loosening the webbing straps. The fly provides vestibules for storing shoes, etc at front and back of the tent. The rainfly is amazing. It weathers...  Read More

Cabela's xl cot fits great with plenty of room for other stuff. Extra space to fit the nearly unnecessary footprint. It's plenty big but would not comfortably fit 5.

The zippers work well, but sometimes get caught in the material ( operator error) the fabric in the tent walls and doors is opaque enough that my wife and i were able to dress/undress in total privacy. The only thing i would like to see is the tarp co...  Read More

The clip to frame design is easy to set up and take down. It goes up as easily as any gigantic dome tent. Easiest tent ever.

The poles are very sturdy. They clips in with buckles right near the stakes. There are four tie down ropes which work great in the wind, however, not always necessary.

Cons

The bag they provide has no straps, no handles, and good luck putting it back in after taking the tent out. I am a very experienced camper and have been using tents for the last 40 years and this is the worst i've seen.

Quality

Alps makes quality fear that you can be proud to own and show off

Camping again this weekend with my kids with the new tent from the exchange

We had our taurus 5 staked down solidly with the four side guylines and the tent completely collapsed on us in a heavy windstorm

I have also been in two heavy rains lasting all night and there was not a drop in the tent even with the rain fly vents open

Competitiveness

With a 6foot peak inside height standing up in this tent is no problem

Our queen sized air matress also alps 28x28 aluminum collapsing table dog bed and packs all fit with room to spare
