My other tent is a fourman big agnes and i would say that the quality is actually comparable between the two though the alps mo...  Read More

Ive backpacked with this tent 3 times all different environments and i am very happy with the purchase

The quality is there and it compares well to tents twice the price for a weight penalty of only a few ounces

This makes me question the quality of the tent

Price

The cost is extremely reasonable as well so definitely consider this tent as an option for these needs

And of course for the tent of this weight the price is great

Dont let the low price scare you i never had any problems due to lack of durability or build quality

It cost 13 of my other tents

Shipping

Packs up fast and compact and sets up quick too

Packaging/appearance

The pole set fits nicely into the corner of the main compartment of the pack

I can put it in the area towards the feet of the tent and still enter and exit without having to climb over the pack

If you cant rig the fly out of the way youre hot and if rain starts you have to get out of the tent and spend 10 minutes riggin...  Read More

Competitiveness

He brought in a large inflatable air matress and i used a thermarest sleep pad

As others have mentioned probably not ideal for two fullsize males

The reason im only giving 4 stars is because i have yet to use this item outdoors i set it up indoors to look it over

You cant beat the tents breathability with the rain fly off because there is no solid material to block airflow and an included crossflow vent in the fly means youll get about as good of venting as you can for a 100 tent

Color is a preference thing but personally i really dislike bright tent colors like orange and yellow it kills the mood for one thing cause noone likes a bright orange eyesore disrupting the hues of mother nature

There is a bit of orange on the top of the tent and where the vents are but definitely not enough to gain the notice of someone far off

The first time out was last weekend on the at

I could sleep two in here but it would be tight and shed have to be small

My only complaint is the length of the poles when collapsed the tent can be compressed to very compact size but the poles are still about 18 when stowed

If you and your significant other are both on the large size go for the zephyr 3
