Pros & Cons

Pros

This scope stores easily. The base has an accessible compartment for 3 aa batteries. The eyepiece is removable. Highest magnification level doesn't continue down through the sample.

This microscope is a great choice for beginners. Absolute best bang for your buck. Great quality for $75.

Purchased for my son age 13. The microscope was provided as a gift, in order to pursue educational endeavors. Bought this because it was recommended by the good and the beautiful homeschool curriculum.

Cons

Forward lens on the x40 objective is quite small so youll have to crank up the illumination.

The power supply only powers an led. The instructional cd was smashed to bits. My husband suspects it's the bulb, but after reading the reviews i'm not sure that i want to invest another $10 since their led bulbs don't seem to be any good.

I've never been so insulted in my life. Very disappointed in this purchase. What a foolish buy. Stop read this.
