On mine i added among other things a spdt switch for the door which turns onoff the interior light and offon a secondary fan when the door opens and closes

From the factory the interior light only turns onoff with a manual switch inside the fridge

It is about the same fan noise as my tivo unit and while the tivo runs around the clock the beverage center only tends to run when it is cooling new items or maintaining the internal temperature
