The authentic filter is heavier than the one sold by this seller here. Non-oem filters sell for 1/4 of the price of a genuine manufacturer's filter. The filter is preventing the proper functioning of the icemaker.
It is cheaper now with a glossy less durable plastic vs a matte hefty feel. This is not a * product, and i suspect the older reviews are for the */cuno newer product.

I have bought a knock off brand and fridge leaked so kind of scared me on doing that again but might check out another knock off brand in the future just to see if there is one out there that could work
