It blends very well and makes awesome smoothies and hummus. It blends ice and frozen fruit to as smooth as you want. I love the drip-feature of the top - it's easy to create a drizzle of oil for making mayonnaise or pesto.

It's not easy to tell that it is leaking until you see it seeping from bottom. More of my smoothie ended up on counter than in blender. Love my * mixer but not the blender.

The lid is a two piece plastic contraption that doesn't seal properly. As a result, it's easy to have leaking - or even have the bottom come out. It also can't be submerged in soapy water.
