Pros
After learning of my issue seller promptly sent replacement. It seems very strong but has only been used in one place with no kinks or damage.
Four start for not messing up something easy. Works flawlessly. Worked fine for my esata installation on my computer.
Cables work great with my external sata and e-sata port on my dell latitude e6430. Use it every day to run my directtv expansion hdd. Faster speeds for external drive vs usb. Made in the usa, sold in the u. S.
Nicely packaged. Well made. Delivered timely and performs as expected.
Cons
The esata/usb port is not the same. Resulted in data transfer errors. Had to replace the cable. Ended up returning the product. Back to mail online home.

My media center server had a failed boot drive and during the rebuild i realized i had 2 x esata ports on the server free

So after reading the negatives on this cables but feeling that the problems were connectors not the cables i ordered a pair

Due to the locale of the drives i figured the 3ft cables would work but would be really tight and cause problems if i have to work on the server as id have to keep unplugging them

I had been using a 4 port usb3 pci card which was fast but not as fast as the drives were capable
