Plastic outside jacket on connector seems a little cheap and can come unscrewed easily

This cable works fine so no more sound cutoffs except for once which tells me unfortunately its probably a problem with the jack on the receiver

Good cables no real signal loss over a couple of feet if there is signal loss there is a problem and you will know it without measurements from test equipment although i did test it with my light meter good jacket quality the jacket is for durability of the cable to make it last and to not let light in its not like shielding on an rf cable

However the housings of the miniplug are very fat and the mac mini mating connectors are close together so input and output cannot be connected at the same time mechanical interference
