Pros

Unopened and took 5 minutes to install. There was a small dent in microwave door after shipping. Bought this to replace old one and us the existing bonnet.

It is virtually identical my old viking unit which is still marketed by viking at twice the price. It's an 1100 watt unit where our previous one was 1200 watts. It has a cobalt blue display.

Hallelujah, it fits! It fit perfectly into the cabinet. The microwave is the perfect fit replacement for 2009 sharp carousel professional built in microwave with the grill trim kit. It fits like a glove!

New model fits perfectly into the previous 24/27 trim kit. Internal support bracket is exactly the same as for the previous model. I have to keep everything matching or replace a perfectly good dacor wall oven.

Cons

This is a standard microwave oven that costs an exorbitant amount of money. Why a $700 microwave would be designed so foolishly is beyond me. It's the keypad that's deficient.

Even with the sharp trim kit the total cost is 150 less than the cost of the dacor microwave alone

Shipping

There was a small dent in microwave door after shipping but not worth the inconvenience to return for replacement

The shipping box and the protective styrofoam was in tact after removing the microwave from the box so i believe it was damaged... Read More

The dcs microwave lasted 14 years of regular use and we expect the same from the dacor

Competitiveness

However its a wellmade 1100 watt unit with great flexibility and build quality

This is my 3rd dacor microwave over a 17 year period

Our dacor appliances have been unreliable having already replaced the dishwasher and microwave

We had a dacor microwave before and it lasted 16 years
