Used home depot buckets. Was super excited to trap bugs, freeze them to death, and feed to my chickens. A complete waste of money.

At first i watched it like a hawk to see if flies were going in and at first they werent just the little gnat ones were getting caught

We had added all the stuff youtube videos said attracts flies including rotting fruit and dog poop and still nothing

However after a couple weeks of forgetting about it i checked and there were tons of dead flies in it

Maybe it took awhile for the bait ingredients to become more potent so the flies could find the entry holes easier or maybe it just took time but now im just adding more water periodically and its killing flies still

I noticed theres not nearly as many flies on our back patio when we sit down either as most of them are attracted to the trap on the side of the house
