For 24 oz of coffee two of my cups i used 3 cups of water13 cup of folgers colombian roasti poured a bit of the hot water brought to boiling and allowed to rest so it was just under boiling into the grounds and allowed them to activate

The design of this press does not allow the filter to meet the bottom and squeeze the grounds
