The design is pleasant the blues are not as variegated in person as they appear on the screen they are much more monochromatic on the actual mug

The break was not obvious at first glance but became apparent only after i closely inspected the mugs

In that last paragraph i use the word surviving because although i ordered a box of six mugs only five of them arrived intact mug 6s handle broke off during transit and this leads me to my primary complaint and sole demerit for this product the retail box only uses thin cardboard sheets to separate the mugs there is no foam or paper cutouts to keep the mugs secure during transit

Since the mugs can pretty much rattle around and bump into each other despite amazons use of an outer box and air pillows i think its inevitable that some peoples mugs will arrive broken

I was half expecting the mug to explode into a million pieces but in a sort of anticlimax the cup only broke into two very manageable pieces
