I dont plan to travel with this but frankly you could and it would even fit in a carry on suitcase because it folds down very flat

This stand lasted 3 12 years before one of the leg joints completely broke

The biggest negative is that the buttons which depress in order to adjust the legs stick and are difficult to push in
