This is true but my 17 macbook pro is sticking two inches from the back of the tray and the entire stand is balanced wrong it tends to topple over in many configurations andor the laptop just slides off

I dont think this was ever meant for a 17 laptop it fits a 15 laptop nicely but only if you are okay using the touchpad

Just two points of caution 1 its just a bit wobbly when fully extended but i wont take off stars for that as its not really intended to be used at its full height and 2 the measurements given are accurate so make sure you know how much height you need i think this would not work for a taller person higher chair
