Pros
It allows you to tuck the wiring into the base and give a good water tight mount. My favorite camera. Workes well with my synology nas.
The resolution is great, even at 10 frames per second and 3-4k stream. Image is sharp, and the 2. D night vision is good, but not great. My dvr did all the configuration and calibration changes to my security camera system.
All of which were bought from a authorized dealer. Works as advertised. I feel confident it'll survive.
Cons
The camera doesn't have a reset button. It requires an additional'plugin' to work. The camera is not supported by hikvision us, these are chinese camera's that have been hacked and had us firmware installed.

The key asset of this camera in my opinion is the quality of the night vision
Quality is very nice and the night vision is incredible without additional lighting i might add
I was quite let down with the quality of the 8mp from amcrest
If not contact a reputable security company who will install and warranty the product
Price
But for the price i am very content with them

Im linking this to a synology nas via poe and setup with the nas was simple with full support for this camera
Set up with a synology system was a breeze
All hikvision products are made in china
This means that hikvision usa will not talk to you to give any support

When comparing this camera and the box it came in to all my others i see nothing that indicates it’s not an authentic us model

They have much better night vision range and you don’t have to clean them that often

Anytime it rains hard the domes get water spots that cause fuzziness while in night mode

I use it as front door camera good camera for money but event processing is a bit buggy a lot of false intrusion and line crossing detection even with very conservative settings

With the dome models ive experienced excellent quality until nighttime when ir bounce back has made the image unusable
