Pros
Extra splines help to grip the stud and actually cut into the metal. Great tool for removing rusted socket head bolts. Be sure to drill a pilot hole, use a lubricating agent like clp or seafoam deepcreep.
Cons
Buy these at your peril. They are hard steel; but they're also brittle. I am ever the optimist, so i was hoping that was just their problem.
