Pros

Just a minute of touch up with a dremel and they were nicely chamfered. Sliding jaw has so much wiggle room to compensate for the gap. One side 'gets there first' and with enough force, * parallel.

This vise is well built. Works like a vise. Lol, this this dwarfs the saw table.

It seems sturdy, * well & heavy. Tough and sturdy, works as expected.

Cons

The max length on the jaws is 4. The front jaw is too loose. Covered with unfinished edges and surfaces. Lack of attention to detail on the machined surfaces.

The quality of irwin products has sunk to harbor freight/china junk level. My last irwin purchase. Buyer beware. Purchase is junk! Definitely would never buy an irwin product again.

My only improvement wish it came with a set of smooth jaw inserts along with the gnurled inserts

I definitely am getting the function out of it that i expected and the price was perfect for that

This vise is well build but there are some sharp edges that could have been smoothed out before shipping from the factory
