When i went searching for the source of the noise i found that the ac had a very thick layer of ice on it so much so that i could see through it and the noise was the sound of it cracking when the ac would turn itself on

I also noticed that it wasnt as cool in the room as it typically was so i read the manual and went through how to thaw it

I noticed that there was rust in the drained water as i kept draining the tank as it would defrost
