This strainer is perfect for rinsing quinoa before cooking. Works well for washing and straining small things like lentils and quinoa. The hook opposite the handle is good for slower straining.

This one is sturdy, well made, and priced reasonably. Great quality and size.

I highly recommend this product to any cook who wants a high quality strainer that is reasonably priced
On the one that i received the resting ear is askew and not inline with the handle
You lose too much white with the single mesh strainers
Packaging/appearance
There are no sharpe edges or parts bent when the item was taken out of the box
Rinse first and while rinsing rub the seeds between your fingers to help remove the saponins
Competitiveness
The only thing that makes it not a 5star product is a small lip between the strainer mesh and the metal rim
Com at a very resonable price i ordered the 8 inch strainer
But i used it for brewing organic cofee teas and straining pulp from my home made juices

The hooked resting ear is also flat so the strainer sits nicely and does not slide
