Pros
Adapter is supported natively by the linux kernel. Mint invokes a different connection app with this adapter. Panda's tech support got right back to me when i inquired.
Usb wifi adapter is a must buy for linux users. Works in a pc that is a considerable distance one floor below the router.
Cons
The speeds are almost unusable. The hardware is also incapable of that too. Break down and buy a pcie version instead with a heat sink.
Reviewer says it works well on windows 10, but not on other operating systems. Can't connect to same router as macbook, which gets 300mbps. Has been working for 6 months, but is now nt working at all.

I now have a fast robust connection that was previously weak and intermittent with a tplink usb wireless adapter
He can still stream 1080hd lectures from school without problem do zoom meetings etc
First unit ran hot and died after 4 years useage
The windows side came up fine but i thought a had aproblem with ubuntu

Came with a driver disk but it was not needed either in linux or windows 10

By the time you futz with all the errors reconnecting to networks occasionally this one probably is functionally just as fast

Actually the network hes running on is not ac due to need for range over speed
