Pros & Cons
Pros
Primeweld's willingness to keep customers happy makes buying products from them a no brainer. This seller really seems dedicated to keeping satisfied customers. To coin a phrase from tony the tiger) it's grrrreat.
If i could upgrade the handle, i think this would be an even better cutter. Consumables are easy to find although it does seem to go through them.
The little guide that fits around the nozzle is great for beginners like me. The pilot arc makes all the difference in the world to make it easier to start.
This is that mythical beast that does exactly what it's supposed to without any complaints. Works every bit as well as my thermal dynamics one i had before. Works as advertised.
The primeweld works pretty well on this though an acetylene torch would probably be better. Don't over-tighten the torch lead to the back of the machine. It fits right on the lower shelf of my welding cart.
Cons
When it works, it works fine, but it is almost unusable because of the constant faults and no arc condition. It starts up fine and will work, but it stops working for no apparent reason.
Highlights
Quality
I just received this plasma cutter and have no other cutters to compare it to but i am pleased with the cutting so far
It turned out that i only needed to a little teflon tape to fix the issue but i was very impressed with the service
Once the dross is knocked off the quality of the cut is easy to see
If your purchasing for those uses i think you will be disappointed
Packaging/appearance
Came completely assembled right out of the box regulator mounted with air chuck installed
Its worked great right out of the box
Competitiveness
Primewelds willingness to keep customers happy makes buying products from them a no brainer
Will be buying the cut 60 from primeweld and will be a longtime customer in the future
For a future purchase i would go with a larger models consider only the 220v models and consider something with a more “modern ... Read More
I really didn’t want to have to add a new circuit so i was hoping a 110v would be adequate for my hobbyist needs
