Im so glad i took the plunge and chose it because i found a wonderfully well written book about parenting fear and overcoming societys somewhat low expectations

I think they followed good precautions before and during their hikes concerning not hiking with strangers and not broadcasting their hikes on the hiking forums learning how to blow their safety whistles to get help and be found

Some such as one particular reviewer here might think the point is overdone but i think even in this progressive age that the gender issue should be explored as the author has done and that the fact that the idea that there are certain areas that are exclusively male territory is totally unfounded
