Pros
The picture is crisp and clear, and the channels come in good. Rca's on-screen prompts for adding or deleting stations are so much better than the magnavox. All you really need if the converter has been set up and programmed.
Cons
This item is not amazon returnable. Right now it is only useful as a chew toy for my dog. Amazon will not take the unit back and refund my money, they want to send me another piece of junk.
The only solution is to unplug the unit and re-plug it in and then it will turn on just fine. This morning there was no audio. If the unit does not work, un plug the ac power cord and plug it back in.
The box has terrible reception.
The heads need to be placed directly in front of the box's ir sensor. On the outside of the packaging box, the picture of the rca converter definitely shows a separate sensor light. The remote hasn't a recall button.
