This phone is durable and seems heavier. It is larger than an older t mobile samsung phone but not as large as a smartphone. It's hard to find a cell phone today that is truly rugged.

The external speaker now is quite audible. Best of all, reception and call quality is quite good. My only gripe is you have to hold the phone mouth piece very carefully or you won't be heard.

This is a phone made for at&t so it's gsm compatible. If your 3g flip is getting bumped off by your carrier, get this. Uses micro sim, the middle size one. Works perfectly with my singtel gsm sim.

Using it hanging off your shoulder works very well when your hands need to be occupied typing. There are several ways to get to menu items which can be confusing. A little slower, as need to hit key several times to get different letters.

Has created more headaches than the ruggedness is worth, i think. Call quality degraded substantially. It works at only a rudimentary level.
