It does last over a year but eventually for me the cable becomes loose and stops working near the headphone jack

The bendable portion that goes around the ear is thicker on the original and stays in place better

The changes on the ljack are a nice improvement as i can now plug them into my samsung s8 without having to remove it from its case

The originals are still fully functional after several years of use the clear coating is just looking bad after all of this time
