The 18-50mm is much lighter than all but a few primes and much sharper than my sony 18-135mm and 18-105mm. It's a great alternative to the fast prime lenses. The sony sony e 50mm f/1. Is a great lens for a wide-lense lens.

Autofocus is snappy and accurate. The image is nice and crisp. The lens is small, light, and focuses well in both photo and video modes.
Cons
They are not as sharp as the sigma primes or tamron zoom. It requires more work close to impossible to remove vignetting in video editors.

The value for the lens is incredible
This lens is a great value for the money it costs and it is extremely versatile
Obviously it’s not a 2000 lens but for the price i don’t think it can be beat
To someone with a low income this lens is still a lot of money but obtainable

The box is a bit banged up but the lens is pretty well packed

This lens rivals some gm prime lenses
As far an all around affordable fast every day lens this is the best one available for sony apsc
