The singer 14sh654 is a good little serger for my first serger machine use. Plus, no knits on my regular machine.

Easy to thread, but the light is an led light and only if there is no other light source you can see to sew with it. The threading directions and pictures in the manual are so lame, and the color coding is a joke, so it was impossible to get it re-thr... Read More

Steer clear of this serger, it is not worth the price. From the get-go, the motor smells hot when i use it. The manual is definitely not user-friendly.
