The motion detection seems to be better i rarely get false positives and i cant remember the last time i had an issue with recordings showing up

Id suggest to anyone who decides to buy this product to make sure to update their firmware since it seems like a lot of the issues that the older reviews mention have been resolved

I was happy with the first one but the rubbed bronze color of it soaked up too much heat in the las vegas sun in the summer and it finally died

Quick background i bought and installed the skybell hd myself in 2016 purchased from skybell not amazon worked well out of the box had 2 periods over time where i had problems each time there was a software update to install and then the skybell hd worked well again
