Pros
The 2-7 scope is great for what i needed - a decent low cost scope for a ruger 10/22. Works well on muzzleloader, 30-06, 22lr and others. Can also be mounted to a 22 magnum rifle or rossi.
The vipers are the clearest i have ever seen at this price. Clear/crisp view, reticle is nice and not overbearing. Smooth turrets that are super easy to adjust.
The vortex crossfire 2 is a great scope for the money. It holds a zero well, and is perfect for hunting small game, or just plinking. Had to buy a picatinny rail, but a very nice setup.
Cons
Both turrets are mushy, with clicks barely noticeable (no tactile click, it's barely audible) windage turret is about twice as stiff as the elevation turret. Held zero fine on the elevation, but did not hold zero on windage.

Mounted on a 22lr works greatcan’t beat the price
Would recommend this to anyone looking for a decently priced optic
You get more than you pay for with this one
To be honest for the cost im not super impressed by the fit an finish
Competitiveness
I own many scopes of varying price and quality up to top tier scopes
In addition vortex offers a lifetime warranty for a very reasonably priced scope
Of course things can be compensated for with the ballistics factor and buyers can venture into other products but its still not the same
I bought it because the price was good and it had very good reviews and i wanted to compare it to a leupold 2x7 i had ordered

Had a heck of a time sighting this scope in then realized the elevation and windage were reversed same as another review

I am not a regular user of scopes so it took me a while to figure out that it didnt make sense to be adjusting elevation from the side

At highest magnification when looking at something far the image and reticle is still crisp

Im not one to spend thousands on optics and im certainly not spending that much on a scope for my 1022 plinker

At 25 yards it shot low and left about an equal amount
