Pros

Only problem is, seating the battery cap with the battery in takes time. Vortex has the best warranty in the business. Long battery life, light weight aluminum body.

Use the brightest part of the comet as the center. Auto brightness works very well between outside and inside lighting conditions.

Cons

Zero in is a struggle at short distance and a shim might be required. The battery is loose in the compartment causing the red dot to disappear after every shot.

Threads/heads make some unusable (screwdriver won't go in because there's metal chunks basically welded into the top). Would not turn on. Why is this still an issue?

Vortex * red dot optic is not up to par. Outfitters charged me additional $37. Is this an amazon scam or is vortex dropping off on quality and qc?

The holes line up fine but the screws that come with the venom are too long and wont tighten all the way down

Im glad they make this lightweight red dot though i wish the quality was better for an optic priced well into the 200 category
