Quality
I am very pleased with the product!
This belgian waffle maker is more expense than many we looked at but when you consider the quality it is worth the price.
I would mention that we were not happy with the yeast-based waffle recipe that came in the instruction book (good night waffles).
It can make a stack of waffles in no time flat and the best thing is that they actually don't stick like they do with the cheapo irons.
Shipping
The actual weight and sizes are probably nearly identical (shipping weight on my 1200 was 13 pounds).

It is expensive i will admit i did not know a waffle maker could be so expensive now i truly see in this catagory you get what you pay for

I also beleive that the ready beepslights are appropriately timed and do mean the maker is completely heated up

After that i did find a way to use it without the ready light so i did but this should have been my first clue it was total junk
