The daisy/avanti 499b is an awesome little rifle and a bunch of fun. I am a partially disabled 80 year old who has enjoyed shooting most of my life. Great value. Great shooting bb gun.

I have a red rider which is hard to cock and the trigger pull is too hard for a kid

The worst thing is that the sight doesnt have enough range so you can sight it in for 50

Trigger pull is long and a bit spongy but its fairly light and breaks clean once you get to that point

I swapped out the bullseye sight insert for the post and proceeded to do some informal plinking
