These are very good low power usage dimmable led bulbs for decorator small recessed lights. They work well, use less electricity, and are adequately bright. Color of light is ok and brightness is nice.
Led's never fail to amaze me for household lighting. And that's what amazes me. Only downside is now you can see the stove top wasn't quite as clean as you thought.
I have a set of halogen ceiling fixtures in my basement that use par20 bulbs. These 7w leds are brighter and just a touch more blue than the halogens. These bulbs cannot be used in a closed fixture, so the open-at-the-bottom globes are well suited.
The comparability to the old bulbs drops the dimmer and dimmer you get. As soon as you start to dim them they quickly turn into not being a warm light anymore. Some bulbs start flickering.
Used these in 2 designers fountain 1161-bk wall lanterns bought from amazon. The bulbs are about half the size of a regular incandescent bulb.
They seem to attract more bugs than they repelled. This is a deal breaker for me. I am afraid to put my hand in there to get the bulb out.
The hue is just ugly.
