No problem seeing down into basement from stair landing, this is very bright and accommodating. This bulb does the trick.

The light emitted is perfectly balanced with yellow light rather than blue. This led is a much softer warm light that has the same brightness level and doesnt give me headaches.

Low minimum brightness. Light output declines noticeably as time goes on.

Something is wrong with this product if others are experiencing it too. Buyer beware this is an inferior product. Do not buy.

Led lighting is the wave of the future. Easy installation, product is fragile and handle with care. Replaced some very old 3' fluorescent lights in a recessed fixture.
