Pros & Cons
Pros
Scepter gas cans are a great upgrade for your gas cans that have the safety * spouts that take forever to empty. Perfect replacement for the old scribner 5 gallon white container. Makes your no spill type gas, diesel, kerosene * flow fast!
Cons
These are poorly built. New ones are thin and flimsy. Thanks for the migraine.
Once snapped into an oversize 1/2 hole (as the hd vents all require), any attempt to open the snap immediately removes the entire vent cap itself. These caps apparently just push onto the base, and are expected to stay closed by friction.
These vent caps have only a smooth entry lip (or actually, a lack thereof) i don't like the design, there is no barb on the * so it's just a slip fit in the hole. The hole you are instructed to drill is a bit to small.
