Pros

My patience was rewarded when this glass was announced. Both sony and sigma has excellent image stabilization.

This lens probably doesn't fully match the brilliance of sony's gm 100-400, but for the everyman without $2500, it's worth a real look. It's also thinner and easier to stow in a camera bag without a separate sling bag.

At 400mm, crop mode gets me a usable 600mm click. Used on my sony aspc a6400, at 400mm it gives me 600mm of focal coverage, due to aspc sensor.

Cons

Sorely disappointed. I took about a dozen shots and immediately repackaged it for return.

Grate resolution, lightweight, top notch image stabilization and produce fantastic images

It shoots photos at its best image quality in sunlight and even during cloudy weather it still does a fantastic job.

With no image stabilization built into the lens, it does not compete for highest image quality when you must use a lower shutter speed.

0 this lens is quite sharp, and the image sharpness pretty much remains up to 400mm at f6.

Price

You really can’t beat the price point for this much reach.

3 rxdin short an absolutely great lens at a fantastic price, if you can live with the shortcomings.

6 that costs $2,500, out of the price range of most.

You can always spend a ton of money to buy the highest rated lenses but if you have limitations on funds.
