The image quality is great both in daytime and at night using nightvision just remember to set the resolution to 1920 x 1080 in the menu as i believe the default is lower than this

They offer a wider angle which open up the options when compared to a couple of 1080p ip cameras i also own

The motion detection although maybe a touch over sensitive at times even after adjustment in the settings but works well and you can select the range that each camera will detect in the settings

Nightvision is good although make sure that theres nothing too close to the camera as that will probably result in that object dominating the scene with the rest being correspondingly dark

I installed it in the garage with a suitable 1080p monitor but if you wanted it quieter you could disconnect the fan and take the top off the recorder to enable cooling
