Pros

The 10gtek sfp+ dac twinax cable works flawlessly at 10gb. I use it to connect a udm pro to a unifi enterprise-poe-24 switch. I get 10gb between the two servers, which is great. I'm a home user that got the cable to connect two computers peer-to-peer ...  Read More

Cable is made with quality and feels durable. It seems sturdy and it was immediately recognized by the qnap and ubiquity equipment. Keep in mind cable length includes the length of the connectors, which are ~2.

Cons

The 2960s say the sfp is unsupported. Interfaces show they are up, but then the other end shows err-disable on the cisco switches. Tried to use the non cisco unsupported service module commands and err disable still doesn't.

Auto-negotiated 10gbps with no configuration or hassle with my ubiquiti enterprise switch

Price

The cost of this dac was pretty close to the cost of buying a 0.

Price is right and does what it should.

Works as intended with a 10gtek 10gb pci-e nic network card and ienron 6 ports that i got cheap on prime day for my truenas scale.

Competitiveness

These work great with cisco switches, with dell servers, and with mellanox connectedx-r cards.

I used these to build out a field lab built on dell r720s and a combo of intel and mellanox nics.

Both are running an older version of windows server.

I wanted to connect two nas devices to my switch and this turned out to be less expensive that a fiber patch cables plus the gbics.

The actual length by the time you get out of the strain reliefs is about 4 inches which means you can make a 34u34 shaped bend that can connect devices about 334 from port to port

First time dac purchase and i was caught off guard by the length of the cable since the dac enclosures take up a good portion of the cable

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I had thought these were longer than 634 patch cables and there would be more usable length but that is not the case

This was my error though and learn from my mistake by making sure to check the image showing the length of the cables in comparison to the rack
