Pros & Cons
Pros
This is my 1st 10gtek purchase. Will purchase this cable again in the future. Cheap alternative for fiber cable and sfps. Release is smooth.
I use this dac cable to connect a udm pro to a unifi enterprise-poe-24 switch. The switch side port is 1g and the udm pro has 10g port. The 10gb switch has a 1 gb port i connected to a 48 port 1gb switch.
Cons
The 2960s say the sfp is unsupported. Interfaces show they are up, but then the other end shows err-disable on the cisco switches.
Highlights
Quality
Quality seems good, no rough edges or snags on the molding.
I’ve had great success with the 10gb dac cables that i decided to try their sfp28 cables for the shirt 0.
Price
The price is on par with other no-name or seemingly white label brands, so ill stick with 10gtek.
Shipping
Great product , price wise it costs $2 more then ubiquiti , but amazon shipping is free and faster .
Competitiveness
Works as intended with a 10gtek 10gb pci-e nic network card and ienron 6 ports that i got cheap on prime day for my truenas scale.
Works great between a netgear ms510txup and a supermicro sys-5019d-4c-fn8tp (motherboard x11sdv-4c-tp8f).
I had to manually force 1gbps fdx on my udm pro for it to work.
2 months into service, working at 10gbps without issue connecting unifi 48 port switches
