Pros & Cons
Pros
Great pricing, though increasing lately. Release is smooth. Very satisfying. Fantastic price. First choice when available.
It works flawlessly at 10gb. Plugged it in between my udm-pro and my 8 port poe switch. Worked perfectly with a ubiquiti aggregation switch.
Worked perfectly. Seem to work 4. Works like a champ. This one works.
The solution works and have a reliable 10 gb/s network link. These run 10gb for me with zero issues across several different nic brands. I also share storage from the san computer to a couple workstations on the network although they connect to the is... Read More
Cons
The 2960s say the sfp is unsupported. Interfaces show they are up, but then the other end shows err-disable on the cisco switches. When server is rebooted it won't go up and you have to manually pull it out and reinsert to have connectivity.
Highlights
Quality
The cable is well-made and feels durable.
Quality seems good, no rough edges or snags on the molding.
My original goal was to use this to connect my qnap nas to a network switch sitting on top of it, which is about 6" from port t... Read More
Auto-negotiated 10gbps with no configuration or hassle with my ubiquiti enterprise switch
Price
The cost of this dac was pretty close to the cost of buying a 0.
Price is right and does what it should.
Works as intended with a 10gtek 10gb pci-e nic network card and ienron 6 ports that i got cheap on prime day for my truenas scale.
Competitiveness
These work great with cisco switches, with dell servers, and with mellanox connectedx-r cards.
I used these to build out a field lab built on dell r720s and a combo of intel and mellanox nics.
Both are running an older version of windows server.
I wanted to connect two nas devices to my switch and this turned out to be less expensive that a fiber patch cables plus the gbics.

First time dac purchase and i was caught off guard by the length of the cable since the dac enclosures take up a good portion of the cable

I had thought these were longer than 634 patch cables and there would be more usable length but that is not the case

This was my error though and learn from my mistake by making sure to check the image showing the length of the cables in comparison to the rack
