The remote control is flimsy but effective and controls on/off, brightness and colour warmth. It easily works downstairs to upstairs line of sight. The remote is indeed useful for changing the colour temperature and dimming.

The light is easy to install if you dont have any cabling to store inside the light if you have wires hanging out of your ceiling then forget it

The baseplate screws to the ceiling i ignored the supplied screws and used compression fittings then the 2 wires of the light connect to your ceiling posneg wires and the light rotates onto the mounting plate

I used block connectors to attach the wires and theres just enough space to contain them if you cut the 2 sections of the block apart and lay them on the separated edges

Great light but doesnt quite dim enough to use as a night light would be ok in a corridor but elsewhere not so sure
