I have a salamander pump for my hot water supply but found that certain taps had to be ‘on’ for some time before the pump activated

After much investigation my plumber came up with the simplest of solutions the flow regulators on the taps were too fine a mesh to allow sufficient flow rate to signal the pump to turn on

For someone that lives within a hard water area limescale can be a real pain

Gone are the days of trying to declog the old aerator of limescale i now simply remove and discard and replace with a fresh one

The size of the actual unit is exactly the same as my original aerator im lead to believe there is an industry standard size for these things
