Replacement went smoothly with no more drama, so i'm plenty happy.
Even with the tool, i had to pull hard and wiggle back and forth to get the old valve out and part of it broke, too.

Maybe a pliers would have worked but maybe i pull too hard on the old copper pipes and crack a solder joint thats a big time problem you avoid with this tool
