My cord is now fixed and safe with a ground prong again.

Once the cord was in the plug cover the wires would not fit into the holes in the plate that holds the prongs in place.

Next the rubber sealing disc wouldn't fit around the cord and it popped off the cover to the plug as well.

    I had a 100 foot 10 gauge extension cord with a 20 amp male end on it

    That cord was too big all the way around too get it into this plug the clamp inside the cover had to be removed and the stationary side had to be busted out just to get the sheath of the 10 gauge extension cord into it

    Those had to be drilled out to the next size drill bit up from the hole in the wire strippers

    Im not sure what gauge wire was supposed be used but it was certainly not 10 gauge

    Start to finish took about an hour and half rather than 15 minutes
