Pros

On axis viewing has high resolution with 1080i. However, for my application it is perfect. The three major networks (cbs, nbc, abc) broadcast in 720p or 1080i and the tv’s picture looks great.

When the dvd is not in use it only pulls 30 watts which is perfect for my 500 watt solar power banks. The dvd works fine with good sound for a small tv. Unable to test the dvd and receive digital tv yet, but will tests the features shortly.

Audio is better than i expected, but it could be improved with front facing rather than downward facing speakers. The sound is a little tinny, but this isn't my main tv so it's acceptable. The picture/ease of use/ setup makes up for it.

The pytd16 takes the cake. Replacing a 15. This unit is a bit larger and still fits into the space previously occupied by the 15. For the money can't beat it. This pyle tv is better in every respect.

Cons

The audio on this unit is tinny. They emit a annoying echo making it sound like everyone's inside a big metal can.

Unfortunately i bought the av100 at walmart for more than i would have paid at amazon.

For the money, it's a good bargain.

I thought i would be out $200 and would have to do the best i could.

I add that if you don’t intend to add an external speaker to this tv then perhaps you should look at another brand.

However, different content providers’ audio signals do require me to adjust the clarifying setting on occasion.
