These were old stairs 80 so they were not smooth

I took the release paper on the back off and repositioned it so only a quarter of an inch of the adhesive was exposed and then carefully placed it relative to the marks

I was careful to make sure that i had it positioned before actually getting the adhesive to stick to the steps

The plastic is so thick a good thing and my stairs so dark that the air bubbles are very easy to see
