However, i almost returns it as the picture on the skygenius box is of the edison equivilent and nowhere does it say 'bayonet'.

Very bright and at a good price too.

I am assuming this is a translation issue on the packaging.
Competitiveness
They claim its a 100-watt equivalent, and i would agree.
I might even buy of these to put under the stairs (might be a bit overkill with a 100-watt bulb, but what the heck).

Have to say though its larger than a normal bulb so do take that into consideration when you pick this it might not fit your shade

It says bug zapper led bulb on the box

I have no idea what this means as it is not referred to on the amazon listing and i dont think the bulb has anything to do with bug zapping
